Equipment and Uniform Requirements

For practice, you will need a shirt, shorts, and wrestling shoes. For tournaments, those items will work, but singlets are traditionally worn. We will provide a shirt and shorts with the entry fee.

For folkstyle season, any singlet will work during tournaments. For Freestyle and Greco season, you will need individual (or a reversable) red and blue singlets for specific tournaments.

Parents' Section

To ensure a positive and productive environment for all our athletes, we have established the following policies for parents:

1. Coaching at Practice: Parents are not allowed to coach during practice sessions unless explicitly given permission by the head coach. This helps maintain a consistent and structured training environment.

2. Coaching in Corners at Tournaments: Coaching your child in the corners during tournaments is encouraged and appreciated when our other coaches are not present at the mat. Please coordinate with the head coach or designated assistants to ensure proper coverage and support for all wrestlers.

3. Behavior Expectations:

   • No Fighting: Parents must refrain from any physical or verbal altercations with other parents, referees, or officials. Disputes should be handled respectfully and through the proper channels.

   • Good Sportsmanship: We expect all parents to model good sportsmanship at all times. Encourage and support all athletes, not just your own.

 

​How to Register for Tournaments

USA Membership Card:

• Importance: A USA Membership card is required for all wrestlers to participate in tournaments. This card serves as an insurance policy and ensures that all participants are covered in case of injury. You will need to purchase this once during the season. I recommend the full athlete card.

• How to Obtain:

  1. Go to USA Wrestling Membership

  2. Create an account

  3. Go to "Manage"

  4. Click on "Manage Profile"

  5. Click on "Get Memberships"

  6. Click on "Athlete Purchase/Renew"

  7. Click on "Available Memberships" and scroll down until you see "Full Athlete"

  8. Checkout and pay

You will need to complete this process before you sign up for wrestling tournaments. This is an insurance policy that covers you and the tournaments you will wrestle at.

Registration Process:

• Registration will be done through Trackwrestling.

  1. Go to Trackwrestling

  2. Click "Events" in the top left

  3. Click "Search Events" and find the event you would like to sign up for

  4. Click "Pre-Register" on the right of the tournament

  5. Click "New Registration"

  6. Click "Add Wrestler"

  7. Follow the steps for your athlete (birthday, team, name, etc)
